In a room full of women, I never thought I’d be the one setting up a tripod on the sidelines giving myself permission to be seen and take up space.

No one was ever going to anoint me and tell me it was go time. I just needed to feel safe enough to make the choice to do the things that felt scary.

That shift came for me through intentional style. I could finally see HER because I finally felt like her.

And she’s okay with looking like an idiot. With being ‘too much.’ With being audacious enough to show up, own her presence, and go after what she wants.

Simpler times. That’s what I’m gathering is the nostalgia of this trend.

Looking back at that year, sure there was less responsibility and more freedom - life before children, life working for someone else and being able to mentally clock out - but ultimately it doesn’t feel much different than this one.

I foresee another year of learning more about myself than I ever have. Another year of being intentional AF and choosing joy in the face of darkness and the hard shit. Choosing music. Choosing nature. Choosing to be ok with imperfection.

Living fully, loving deeply.

Not longing for something different but having the courage and the passion to create it ✨

The version of you that is ready for more is screaming to get out.
